About us…….
Hi, My name is Nicki and I run Appletree Photography along with my business partner Jane. Here is a little bit of information about us.
I have been taking photographs seriously for around 10 years now but I have always had a huge interest in art and photography ever since I can remember. At first it started off as a hobby but as my skills developed and the more I played with the camera the more I realised how much I wanted to turn my hobby and passion in to a business. I love being behind the camera (occasionally you will get me in front of one!!) and creating striking images that people will cherish.
To develop my skills further I went back to college for 4 years. I have completed my BTEC L1 Award in Photography, BTEC L3 Certificate in Photography and most recently I have finished a HNC in Photography! And to top it all off in the middle of all my studies I had my beautiful baby girl Georgia. By profession I am an Event Manager with a BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management. I have worked in this industry for many years and I love organising and running events. By combining my skills forged in the Hospitality industry and Photography I hopefully can create the perfect package.
Jane and I also have another joint venture together – Fotofabulous Equestrian Photography. We spend most of our summer attending local (and some further away!!) horse shows. We have a gazebo set up with laptops and we print on site.
We are members of SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) where the studies continue. Having the chance to network with some of the countries leading Wedding Photographers has been an amazing experience and we’ve have learnt a lot of tricks that you don’t learn at college!
